/ Project Scope

SUSTAIN is an Agricultural Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ATVET) project in Nigeria addressing skills and employment challenges in the agribusiness sector. The project is led by Sydani under the Team Europe Initiative Opportunity-driven Skills and Vocational Education and Training in Africa (TEI OP-VET) programme.

Through the SUSTAIN Project, Sydani is developing Continuous Professional Development (CPD) courses designed to strengthen industry-relevant skills and connect trained participants with employment opportunities in the agribusiness sector.

Level 1

Become an Agribusiness Generalist

Start your agribusiness journey with the essential knowledge and skills to understand how the sector works. This level gives you a strong foundation in Agribusiness Management Principles, Value Chain Analysis & Development, Gender & Social Inclusion, and Digital Agribusiness Tools & E-Commerce. Gain the foundation you need to progress into specialised opportunities.

Level 2

Go Deeper, With Job Placement Support

Once you have completed Level 1, take your agribusiness skills further by developing expertise in a specific occupation or career track. With the hybrid learning format, build specialised, practical skills that strengthen your employability and connect you to higher-value job opportunities. This level runs in a fixed three-month cohort, with Agribusiness Digital Systems and Data Analytics kicking it off, and the other courses shaped around real job gaps.

Level 3

Build Your Business, Earn Your Grant

Turn your skills into a real venture through Agribusiness Innovation & Investment Pitching and Practice of Entrepreneurship I. This level is fully in-person and lasts three months. Real business plan clinics, costing and pricing exercises, mock negotiations with suppliers and buyers, and hands-on time setting up or sharpening your own micro-enterprise; develop your business plan, strengthen your venture, and prepare for the start-up grant pathway.

What you get: Onsite, entrepreneurship-focused · Fixed 3-month cohort · Certificate on completion · Soft grant on certification · Open to Level 2 or equivalent · Limited spaces
